This is one of the cleanest Super 8’s I’ve ever been to. My expectations were low based on other franchise experiences but I was pleasantly surprised by how well kept the rooms were. The staff and house keeping were very polite, friendly, and professional. The front office day shift attendant was quick at checking me in and out. House keeping is done every day (which is rare in so many budget motels). I was traveling solo and I always felt safe in this location.

The only downside is that there is an awful sewage smell near the side of the building with the vending/ice machine….but use the main lobby entrance and problem solved!

The only issues we had was a tub that wouldn’t stop up on its own (just had to get a little creative is all, no problem), and a snarky owner on checkout morning. I needed a key reprogrammed, and after I told her the room number, she said “you need to pay for your dog”. And we had for every single night so not sure what her trip was but whatever the rest of it was awesome. I definitely recommend it even though you can’t smoke in any of the rooms anymore it’s still worth it.

The employees are amazingly friendly and accommodating to your needs. Granted this is hotel is in a rougher part of Chico however we have stayed here 4 different times in a years period and have never had any trouble. The rooms are starting to get much needed updates and look much better. The price is reasonable compared to other brands in the area.
