We UNFORTUNATELY checked into a room hoping for a basic, clean place to sleep. What I got was a room that looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned or maintained in years.
The bed: The mattress has large, dark stains right on the surface. They’re visible even with the sheets pulled back. There’s no mattress protector, just a stained mattress with a flat sheet thrown over it. I couldn’t bring myself to sleep on it.
The bathroom: The shower pan was grimy and discolored, and the towels were thin, gray-looking, and stained. They looked used, not fresh. The toilet paper holder was barely hanging on with a nearly empty roll, and the walls around it were stained and dirty. Not to mention no hand soap or garbage.
The remote: The TV remote was absolutely filthy. It was crusted with white residue and grime on nearly every button. I didn’t want to touch it, let alone hold it. That tells me no one is sanitizing anything between guests.
The room itself: Cracks run up the walls, the baseboards are held together with black tape, and the door frames are scuffed, dirty, and falling apart. The door has a visible gap along the top and side. Even the light switch plate and walls are smudged and rough. It looks like a quick coat of paint was slapped over years of damage.
The exterior: The outside wall next to the room is patched, cracked, and peeling. The whole place looks neglected before you even walk in.
Bottom line: Dirty, run-down, and not worth any price. Management clearly doesn’t care about cleanliness or maintenance. If you value your health and your sleep, book somewhere else.
Bonus: The lady that checked us in was very kind and sweet, she deserves a raise or for someone else to hire her elsewhere to get her out of this toilet of a place they call an “Inn”.
Front desk lady was really nice, but that’s where the good things ended. Main door into the room is almost missing a hinge. The towels look like floor mats and are gross. Cracks in the walls and overall just gross!
Horrible service literally waited hours to get checked in. Absolutely pathetic rooms are honestly nasty. If u want to stay somewhere cheap but okay at Chico go for sycamore inn
The person who checked us in was friendly. But the rooms are awful and filthy. There was hair on the wall. Thick dust and grime all over the base boards. The towels were clearly not cleaned. The beds and bed sheets had stains all over them and maybe even black mold. It seems like the house keepers either don’t exist or don’t care. Now I know why they had vacancy during the Wild Flower event.
