We travel a lot. And I’ve truly never stayed somewhere that felt as disgusting and unsafe as this hotel. We had used the parking and shuttle serve multiple times and always had good experiences with that. The staff is typically great and entry/lobby all looks really nice, so my fault on not looking up reviews before staying, but all the bad reviews are very true. As soon as we stepped out of the elevator we were taken back by the dingy, stained carpets and wallpaper that seem like they haven’t been replaced once since they built this hotel. Our room had the same feel and smell as the hallway. A/C took hours to cool down a couple degrees. The curtains were ripped and stained. If we hadn’t already had an abnormally terrible and very long day of traveling, I would have left. To add to it, there was a shocking amount of questionable appearing people inside the hotel, elevators, hallways… as in homeless, drug dealer, gang type. We saw atleast 8 in our less than 2 hours we were even awake and walking through the hotel. I will absolutely never come back here and I recommend highly that anyone who has standards doesn’t either. It’s absolutely absurd to pay $250 for one night in a hotel like this.

This is my go-to hotel when I come to the San Jose area. Really close proximity to the airport – like a 5 min drive. The rooms are spacious and well done.
As in all Double Tree hotels, it is somewhat dated, but that’s OK.
Large desk area for working in the room.
In room coffee – wish it could be upgraded to a Kuerig!! 3 large drawers for clothing. Two separate vanities in the bathroom. Large spacious closet. King bed is luxurious and comfortable and gives a good night sleep.
Mini fridge was not in room, but called to front desk and asked for one – got it within 15 min.
Lobby restaurant has a good offering of food and appetizers, small plates and full entrees. Full bar and also a sushi place next to it.
Overall – a great place to stay.
