Looking at the reviews of the actual technician, Ken, he may very well be extremely good at what he does. However, I just got what was, in my opinion, the most egregiously rude call back from some woman who obviously did not listen to my message and persisted in not listening to me (or not thinking. Not sure which). I asked about repairing the ignition on an oven. Then she asks if it is the range or the oven. I repeated that it is an oven. Then she asks if it is a gas or electric oven. Hello? Electric ovens don’t need ignition! When I pointed this out, she belligerently responded that if I was going to be snooty with her like that, I should call someone else. It sounded to me like she was still shouting like that (had to hold the phone away from my ear) when I hung up the phone on her. Wow, hard to believe that actually happened! This conversation just occurred less than 10 minutes ago.
Not sure what the woman was trying to accomplish with such behavior. I have never posted a 1 star review before on any platform, but I have also never experienced what is, in my opinion, such an abysmal attitude from any business. I strongly feel that consumers need to know about this and be prepared for it.
Trying to reach them and get them to show up was a train-wreck. It might well be the service guy is fine. First it was a request to text a picture of the appliance, which I did, but no response despite days of waiting. Then it was we don’t have time to come out for a week or more, then apparently rather than keeping the appointment, they texted me on the Sunday before the appointment requesting confirmation by text I was there and since I didn’t respond (no cell service at home) chose to not come out as scheduled. Then were willing to reschedule, but wanted another week or so to come back out.
Ken is amazing. He came and fixed my oven problem in 15 minutes. I’ve asked for his help several times over the years and he is the real deal. Ken is kind and so knowledgeable about appliances. Calling him for help is like calling up the old-fashioned fix-it guy from your small friendly town. His prices are fair and he’s a good value for the money. Much recommend!
I have worked with Ken Newman for many years. Always very professional and knowledgeable! I appreciate that service requests get scheduled in a timely manner and working with Lori Rolon has been great with all communications! Highly recommend C & N Appliance for appliance repairs.
Ken was willing to troubleshoot over the phone and give guidance when the Whirlpool online support would not even respond. He was able to help me reset a “stuck” electronically-controlled machine within minutes. Most repairmen will just book the visit for the service charge; very few will share their expertise in this way. Good to know the competent, honest, friendly service providers in your community.
