10/10 Mark and Tammy are the quintessential hosts. Pure class and exceptional quality and attention to detail. Salmon baked with lemon and yummy herbs was amazing. Her beautiful steak was tender and melt in your mouth delicious. The loft is so cool! Gorgeous sunset viewing out of the big windows. Nice and cool AC runs great. Exceptional reading options and fun games for the family provided. If you don’t get Tammy’s breakfast, know that you are TRULY missing out on greatness. Don’t even get me started on the hospitality and the “at home” feeling mark and Tammy create in this magnificent oasis. Visit the rather large swine and poultry animals in the free range gated area, just watch your snacks around Rosie and Bud, they’re faster than they look. You will not be disappointed staying here.

My hosts were wonderful: very friendly and responsive without being intrusive at all. The room itself was comfortable, clean and spacious, with rustic charm, yet all the amenities I needed (modern bathroom, fridge, microwave, Keurig, well stocked cupboard of utensils & dishes, etc). The giant windows afforded a lovely overlook of the farm property, and you can drift to sleep watching the multitude of stars from the cozy memory foam bed, watch the little morning bats swooping outside just before dawn, and you can even see a sliver of Clear Lake and the mountains on a non-misty day. The small collection of adorable resident critters include a couple of friendly dogs, a few curious hens, two charming potbellied pigs, and one slightly shy giant tortoise. Oh and the food. The FOOD! I was welcomed to invite a couple of my local friends to join me for a few meals on the farm, and each meal outdid the last, carefully prepared to suit our dietary requests. Extremely generous portions, and could not have been more fresh and delicious! The hands-down best meals of my entire week in CA. I hope to come back again sometime with my husband, as I know he would love this place as much as I did!
