I genuinely cannot understand how this hotel is still operating in its current condition.
Our stay started with a power outage. Obviously, that wasn’t the hotel’s fault, and we were still able to check in. However, there were no clear instructions for accessing parking, despite the website advertising valet parking. There was no valet service and we could not get into the hated lot, so we had to find parking elsewhere and pay $27 for just 10 hours.
Unfortunately, that was the least of our problems.
The room smelled strange the moment we walked in. I initially dismissed it as the smell of an older building, but the condition of the room was appalling. Paint was peeling from the ceiling, the carpet was dirty, the bedding did not appear clean, and the mattresses were so worn out that they sagged into the middle. Everything seemed either dirty, damaged, or neglected.
There was also no AC.
Instead, the room had an ancient, uncovered radiator heater that apparently had a mind of its own. Despite being turned completely off, it repeatedly heated the room to an unbearable temperature. I went to the front desk and specifically requested that someone come inspect or turn off the heater. Nobody ever came. We were left with no choice but to open the window to make the room tolerable, which meant dealing with constant noise from outside while trying to sleep.
I was traveling with my disabled 7 year old son, who requires a safe and secure environment. Our room was on the 5th floor, and the window had no functioning lock. The room door lacked security latch, and the uncovered radiator became dangerously hot, presenting a serious burn hazard. These were not minor inconveniences. They were genuine safety concerns that made the room completely unsuitable for my child.
Between the unsecured fifth-floor window, the dangerously hot radiator, the lack of adequate door security, and the hotel’s failure to respond when I requested assistance, I could not safely keep my son in that room.
I paid for two nights. We left partway through the first day because the conditions were so unacceptable.
This was, without question, the worst hotel experience I have ever had.
I would never stay here again, and I strongly recommend that anyone considering this property, especially families traveling with children or individuals with disabilities, look elsewhere.
This is a horrible hotel. The cleanliness is OUTRAGEOUS. There’s what looks like to be blood on surfaces, weird dirt all over the window INSIDE! There is no screen in the window. There is no place to hide your belongings.the sheets had stains all over. The elevator is not working (doesn’t look like anyone is trying to fix it) and than, we had to walk up 5 flights of stairs with no one telling us this beforehand, we had to find out for ourselves. the service was absolutely terrible, the front desk guy just cared about behind on his phone than getting us checked in. NO HELP AT ALL! The bathroom has zero to no supplies, make sure you bring your own. The online pictures look absolutely nothing like advertised, failed advertising on free shuttle from airport, they don’t have one, AC also advised, they have no AC at all (it’s probably just your screen less
Window)
We walked in and checked right back out
Just ALL AROUND TERRIBLE. DONT TRY TO SAVE MONEY COMING HERE
But they did give us an early check in (probably because no one is staying here)
It was fine. My family stayed here for one night and the room got the job done. The rooms do indeed smell like mold and mildew, and the carpet was atrocious. The one ridiculous thing about this room were the lack of outlets available, my family had to purchase an extension cord just to charge all our cellphones. The best thing about the space was the comfortable bed I slept like a baby on, and the bathroom with amazing water pressure. That said, I would NOT spend more than one night here– you get what you paid for.
DO NOT STAY HERE. My family came in town for my baby shower and the service and location is terrible.
1. The hotel is old, the rooms are not up to parr. The showers I would not shower in without even having shower shoes. The toilet gives prison cell. The elevator is slow. They have one bell hopper for the entire building.
2. The parking “security” is RUDE and disrespectful. I came to drop off items at my mother’s room for 20 minutes and was harassed by the man for paying when he clearly saw we were just unloading items so my car did not get broken into when we were out in the city.
3. The location. The tenderloins. That’s all that must be said. Not the safest location. Fentanyl and drug users everywhere.
4. My brother pre paid for parking. Somehow they overbooked and he did not have a place to park his car safely.
Overall just please, it’s not worth saving the money that you think you’re saving. Pay a little more for something better
Decent rooms for the pay. It gets a bit noisy at night from the plumbing. Only microwave is available on the second room common area. Simple rooms with just a bed, chair, night table and a television. Ask for Wi-Fi access at the front desk. The cell phone service is also ok. The staff were helpful. I did have an issue with the room key not working correctly which required me to have them open the door each time I needed to access the room. The location is great if your open to exploring coffee shops and restaurants. Be advised that If your exploring the area their are quite a few homeless occupying the alleyways
