I did really enjoy staying here, but unfortunately there were a couple issues I’d like to point out.

1. Cockraoches in the lobby. We saw two during our two night stay, one pictured by the staircase.
2. Bar/restaurant staff. At least on a weekend, I was surprised to see one person working the area.
For Saturday morning breakfast they had one woman doing everything – making specialty coffee, bartending, taking orders and cooking. This created quite a wait time for everyone – she was a total rockstar, but you could see some guests were irritated.
3. Upon check-in, the front desk representative told us we were eligible for an upgraded room but they don’t have any upgrades available.
I wasn’t worried about an upgrade, and I know I’m eligible with many properties – but it seemed unnecessary to even mention if there was nothing available.
I’ve never had that happen before.

That aside – I did enjoy the hotel.

The price point wasn’t terrible, you’re out of the main areas of Long Beach but still easily accessible.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, convenient bathroom and nice shower.

The outdoor area is very relaxing, with the pool, games and a lovely firepit.

The bar/restaurant on-site was great.
The food was good and the prices were very reasonable.

The Cove Hotel in Long Beach offers a calm and comfortable stay with a modern design that feels refreshing from the moment you arrive. The lobby is clean and welcoming, and the staff maintain a friendly, professional tone that sets the mood for the visit. Rooms are spacious, quiet, and well‑maintained, making them ideal for families, solo travelers, or anyone needing a peaceful place to rest. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are clean with reliable water pressure. Noise levels stay low throughout the evening, which helps create a relaxing environment after a long day exploring Long Beach.

The hotel’s location is practical, offering easy access to nearby attractions like the Queen Mary, Shoreline Village, and local restaurants. Walkability is moderate, with some places close enough to reach on foot, while others require a short drive. Safety around the hotel is steady, with well‑lit areas and a calm atmosphere that feels comfortable for families. Parking is simple and organized, making check‑in and daily outings smooth. The pool area is a nice touch, providing a relaxing spot to unwind.

Food options near the hotel are convenient, though more casual than upscale. Breakfast and quick meals are easy to find, but late‑night dining is limited. The hotel itself doesn’t offer a full restaurant, but nearby choices fill the gap well enough. Overall, The Cove Hotel delivers a dependable and pleasant stay with good value, clean rooms, and a quiet environment. It’s a solid choice for travelers who want comfort, simplicity, and a calm place to recharge.
