I chose to stay at Playa Inn Motel because I was able to secure a cheap price on Booking.com for five nights. But the customer service here is unfathomably horrendous.
The receptionist desk reeks of a foul odor and the man behind the desk wasn’t the most welcoming. He often stared at me nastily with a dirty look. On the day that I was supposed to check out, he stood outside my door with a key in his hand and yelled, “Check out time.” Not even a “hello” or a “good morning.” And to stand outside someone’s hotel room early in the morning is just straight up creepy…
What irked me was when I tried to extend my stay another night, I was charged $140. Not only was that rate far more expensive than what Booking.com had advertised, the quality of this room does NOT reflect the $140 price point. There are little to no amenities and the AC unit smells like urine. Not to mention the countless flies swarming in the bathroom.
To put the cherry on top, this establishment advertises a “24 hour front desk” with “round the clock assistance.” That is simply not the case. I was locked out of my room at 3AM. I rang the bell, called the number advertised on the website, and even knocked on the door. Nobody responded to me until 6:30 AM. Within that period of waiting for reception, another motel guest was staring at me from across the parking lot and made threatening gestures. I was scared for my life.
It’s truly a pity that someone would even consider to stay at such a decrepit motel. Spend your money elsewhere.
I stayed here for 5 days and i had a very uncomfortable experience during my stay at this hotel. I booked a double room for four people, yet the manager constantly complained about the number of guests even though the booking was made correctly. We were not provided with basic necessities like towels or toilet paper, and when we asked for them, we had to wait almost two hours while towels were being washed. There were no microwaves available as advertised, and although housekeeping was offered, no one ever came. We repeatedly asked for housekeeping services and clean sheets but received no help. To make matters worse, we saw roaches in the establishment, and the floor in our room was buckled and felt weak. The manager micromanaged us throughout our stay, which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome the entire time. I would not recommend staying here.
stayed at this motel for 5 days with my two children and my 1-year-old granddaughter, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the manager made us feel uncomfortable. I had already booked a double-bed room two weeks in advance, but when we checked in, he immediately began questioning how many people were staying, even though it was just my small family. It felt excessive and honestly came across as discriminatory.
Throughout our stay, the manager constantly micromanaged everything, which made it hard to relax. Basic accommodations were also lacking — we were only given one towel and told more weren’t available because they needed to be washed. For a paid stay, that’s unacceptable.
Overall, this stay was not worth the $450 I paid. The service, attitude, and lack of basic hospitality made this a very uncomfortable experience. I would not recommend staying here.
This was one of the worst motel experiences I’ve ever had. The employees were disrespectful and treated customers differently in a way that felt discriminatory and uncomfortable. Instead of helping resolve issues, they were rude and argumentative. The motel itself was poorly maintained and not worth the money at all. Mind you it was only 4 nights 15 mins till 11 knocks on door hardly to check out & asked so many times to clean room never did had to do myself overall not money worth
