We must have visited Ina very off night.
I really wanted to like this place for what it is—a small, hole-in-the-wall Nepalese-Indian restaurant—but it fell well short of expectations. The staff were genuinely pleasant and welcoming; but then the food and setting were terribly disappointing.

We ordered the samosa chaat, butter chicken, and palak paneer. The chaat appeared to contain only a single small samosa, topped with runny chutneys that didn’t taste fresh. The entrées were even more disappointing: bland, overly sweet, and oddly goopy, with a generic creamy sauce spooned over them and very little actual chicken or spinach. You don’t need to be familiar with Nepalese or Indian cuisine to recognize that the food lacked quality, freshness, and care. The naan was good, the only highlight and cringe-less part of the meal.

Cleanliness was another major concern. The exterior appears neglected, and inside, the walls, carpet, doors, and restroom were visibly very VERY dirty. The condition of the bathroom naturally raised concerns about the cleanliness of the kitchen— it’s downright unhygienic. Imagine the staff ‘cleaning’ their hands before working- this place needs an inspection to help it get things right.

To make matters worse, the prices were surprisingly high for what was served. The meal was expensive, tasteless, and largely unrecognizable compared with the dishes it was supposed to be.

Overall, this restaurant falls short in the areas that matter most: cleanliness, flavor, quality, and conscientiousness. I genuinely hope they improve, because the friendly staff deserve a restaurant that reflects the same level of care they show their customers.

Found a new favorite place to come to! Food is so good. And ask questions about each item on your plate if you don’t know Nepalese food. The food is so good that those who know the cuisine actually eat here.

I had a great experience at Taste of Nepal. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. What I really appreciated is that the dishes have a milder spice level compared to traditional Indian cuisine, making it perfect for those who enjoy the flavors but prefer something less intense.

The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing, which makes it a great spot to unwind and enjoy a meal without feeling rushed. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get.

Overall, it’s a wonderful place if you’re looking for delicious Nepalese/Indian-inspired food that’s not overly spicy, in a peaceful setting. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Delicious! Nice little place with friendly staff and amazing food! Well seasoned, flavorpacked, and filling! We had the samosas and they were tasty and the dipping sauce was delicious. We also had the lamb and chicken curry on spice level 2 and it was perfect. Would come back here the next time I’m in town.

Overall Rating: 2/5 Stars (Based on limited menu experience)

    Date of Visit: 10/30

    Occasion: Casual Meal

    Summary & First Impression
Our visit to Taste of Nepal was a practical necessity, as it was the only available dining option serving Indian cuisine at the time. The immediate goal of a quick meal was met, but the overall experience was underwhelming, specifically regarding the dishes we ordered. While I cannot recommend a visit based on my experience, I acknowledge that my judgment is limited, as I did not sample enough of the menu to form a definitive opinion on the full range of their offerings.

    Atmosphere & Logistics
Location: The restaurant is situated conveniently on a main road.

Parking: We were able to find parking, though the number of available spots appears to be limited.

Seating/Size: The interior is quite small, hosting approximately seven to eight tables. This contributes to a quiet, relatively uncrowded dining environment.

    Food Quality & Value
Dishes Ordered: Aloo Paratha and Raita
The Aloo Paratha was the most disappointing aspect of the meal. It was noticeably lacking in flavor, feeling more like a simple mixture of flour and potato rather than a richly spiced, traditional paratha. The taste and texture were closer to a plain potato roti (flatbread).

Value Concern: A significant issue was the pricing for some bread items. A single, plain Tawa Roti was listed at approximately $4.99 or $5.00, which struck me as an excessively high cost for a basic item, raising concerns about overall menu value.

    Conclusion & Recommendation
The meal served its purpose—it filled our stomachs—but it did not inspire. There was no element of the dining experience that prompted us to leave a tip or made us eager to return.

Final Verdict: My experience with the Aloo Paratha was poor. However, given that I only sampled a very limited portion of the menu, it’s possible the restaurant excels at other dishes. I did not order enough to confidently dismiss the establishment entirely, but based on the quality and perceived value of the items I did try, I would not make a special trip to return or recommend it to others at this time.
