Don’t let the 3 star worry you. It’s just that rooms are very old and the bathroom sink area is very small. I know that this lodge is older but I think it’s time for updates. The front desk gentleman was very nice, but don’t like that we, the customer has to go get towels or bedding requested. And the rooms do not contain an iron or ironing board. We had to go get one from the office. To be honest, the rooms did smell a bit, like an old home/furniture smell. Also, my coffee maker was very dusty, so that kinda made me think: “What else was not clean?” I did not hate it, but I wish it was more convenient and better cleaned. The area wasn’t the greatest, but I did love that it was close to everything we wanted to do out there.

The bed here was very filthy and we had to leave the hotel in the middle of the night as soon as we arrived. We do not recommend this place at all.
The sheets looked like they hadn’t been washed in a long time, there was hair everywhere, and even the mattress cover underneath was completely dirty. On top of that, the towels were dirty too—they literally had hair on them. Luckily, I noticed how gross the towels were before I actually picked one up to use it.
We went straight to the front desk, but they said they were fully booked and couldn’t give us a new room. Housekeeping couldn’t help either because everything on the bed was dirty. Since we couldn’t sleep in a bed like that, we had to pack up and find a whole new hotel in the middle of the night.
To make it worse, they refused to give us a full refund. They only gave us 50% back because they said we “used the room” by taking a shower and housekeeping would have to clean it again. I’m uploading pictures so everyone can see what we dealt with. Stay away.

We stayed here during a short family road trip and I quite enjoyed our stay. Danielle, working reception the day after our arrival, was helpful, funny, and a general joy to be around. It would be really cool if staff were able to use the pool and the hot tub before they opened to the public so that they could better advocate for the amenities available to us the paying customers. It would also be a nice perk for those who had to work in the morning. Come in early and get to swim!
The breakfast was lovely too, especially the waffles and the potatoes with gravy. It was a nice lining to our stomachs for the five hour drive to our next destination.
Beds were comfortable, room was clean and well stocked, and I would definitely stay again were I in the area. I liked that the pool was indoors and the skylights were nice too. It was quite enjoyable to float on my back and look up through the windows.

I just stayed here for 4 days and it was very nice. My room was clean and they checked my room daily… empty trash clean towels. I’m very happy with this place. Location was great food within walking distance perfect. The breakfast was good I always had eggs, sausage and potatoes and gravy but they had a lot to choose from. I Will definitely be staying here again… great Staff

Exceptional service. May at the front desk was kind and thoughtful. She explained the town, gave us a map, and pointed out places of interest. Recommended Tall Guy Brewery and it was very good. We had dinner at Northcoast Brewery and enjoyed the beer and the food. The room was nice and there was a full breakfast with waffles, eggs, toast, cereal, fruit, yogurt, and just about anything you could ask for. There is also an indoor pool which was very nice. The price was right and the location and proximity to places of interest- Skunk railroad for bike tour, and Glass Beach was wonderful. It wasn’t fancy, but we had a wonderful stay. If you are looking for an affordable place to stay with nice, clean rooms, this is the place for you.
