Ive started camping here in 2008, and have camped here ,probably 10 times. I love how its right next to the beach, and the campground feels very private and secluded, but it’s also walking distance to an organic grocery store, a Mexican restaurant, and a mechanic shop. The only downside, is the entrance and exit of the campground is on a very dangerous curve off highway 1. Every time ive come here, the camp host is very friendly, the campground is clean, they have showers and bathrooms, a fish cleaning station, and a small gift shop with t-shirts, stickers, etc. Its a 20 minute drive to point arena where there is a pier with a couple restaurants and other things to do. There are permanent residents that have modular homes inside the campground. Dogs are welcome, theres abalone diving, tide pools, and plenty of beach to walk on. Out of all the beaches I’ve been to, Anchor bay campground ranks in the top 3 places that I prefer to stay at.

Great campground next to a private beach. When the tide goes down, it’s yours for the taking! So much to explore. The tide pools are amazing, there is a creek that flows into the ocean. In the tide pools there are anemones, starfish, hermit crabs, and more. Very clean site with clean restrooms and showers. The staff there are amazing. Quiet location also!

Excellent campground, right on the beach! The staff who run this place are also very attentive and thoughtful, and there’s even people with permanent campsites here! The place is very well-maintained, with bathrooms, showers, the small little store where you could buy ice cream or drinks, a community area for eating and playing on grass, fair dog, friendly as well! Highly recommend you visiting this place

This is a great camp for small trailers, tents, and fishing. At low tide, there are tidepools to enjoy. There are campsites in the woods or near the beach. The bathrooms are clean and well kept. The staff is always wonderful. They take no crap. If you break a rule, they will kick you out.

Been heading up to Anchor Bay for a couple of years now, and absolutely love this place! The campgrounds up at the top are nestled amongst the redwoods, a quiet and peaceful spot when they’re available, even with hwy 1 running behind it (daytime noise isn’t bad and when sun sets, hwy gets very quiet). We haven’t tried the sea wall yet, but you will get great sounds and a view of the ocean. Chris and Traci do a fantastic job making the campers feel welcome and appreciated. They and their crew keep the grounds clean and maintained, as well as shutting down potential issues quickly. They are always friendly and are a pleasure to be around. Looking forward to our next trip!
