Got a tri tip sandwhich with mac and cheese plus a side of crab cheese puffs.
The tri tip on the sandwhich was pretty bad. Really chewy, fatty, and hard to take a bite out of. Bland, and flavorless. The coleslaw on it was ok, and then like just a thing of mayo not spread out. Good bun. Mac and cheese was bland and unseasoned. Crab cheese puffs were excellent.
Pretty much textbook experience of why POC folk talk about white people not using seasoning.
Good pork and tritip but for the price wasn’t flavored (it seemed at least) (pork plain plain and tritip salt and pepper only) and didn’t give any sauce which was needed for the price and to give some much needed flavor to the meat. Very plain and not as good as normal person barbequing at home. Could have gotten 10 pounds of carne asada at Winco for same price. Like $60 here for one pound of pork and 1 pound tritip and not even any sauce or flavor at all whatsoever. Definitely not going back. Small business and great customer service so give them the 5 stars. To business owner reading this prices too much bro can get carne asada several dollars a pound so offer that so have good offerings more affordable. Pork and chicken should be more affordable. And gotta give sauce with the meat at least at the prices and important also considering meat not seasoned and flavored much so the sauce make huge difference. And then can sell sauce to customers and stores to make more money too.
Sammy’s is some really good Barbeque! Who ever is cooking in the back has got some great talent! We stopped by for lunch and we got the tri tip. So good!! They had some good shows on the TVs football, and spongebob and had some good music playing too. Cozy little spot in the middle of Eureka! If you are passing through, or if you live here in Eureka, stop by. Its good.
Came here with an empty stomach and now I’m writing this review full and satisfied. This is a must try. Head on in to get the family owned feeling, traditional service with amazing meat! I got the teriyaki chicken, and my girlfriend got the tri tip sandwich. The beans were hot! The Mac salad was super good, and most of all the chicken was super tasty, I tried one of the sauces and it just hits way different than some regular food. Got to support your local food chains, and if you’re doing that come here.

Delicious food!! We got teriyaki chicken & chicken meatballs with rice! Good size portions and veggies were cooked perfect. No soggy or anything.
