The rooms I give 1 star as there was NO WATER for over 2 hours. Couldn’t shower. Flush the toilet. Brush my teeth. Ridiculous.
1star for service as they had an incompetent front desk employee when I came back to check in and she charged my room, GAVE me the keys then charged me an additional $35 without advising me. So unprofessional and for a lack of better words sheisty.
1 star for location as they are literally across the street from a drug homeless shelter. These same homeless people are frequently using their ice machine. Will pop up in their breakfast area without a care in the world as it is obviously allowed and the owners of the motel are NOT concerned about their guests overall safety.
They board people with housing issues through some government funded program.
I’m a TITANIUM choice hotels member and this by far is the worst hotel they have under the choice hotels umbrella.
**Update**
As you can read the management/owners comments trying to sound so proffesional as well see you again or whatever garbage they spew. They have literally cancelled any and all reservations except for one, which I hope they will read this and cancel for Aug1-5.
Why the low ratings? This is one of the cleanest and cheapest hotels I have stayed road-tripping. And it’s in California. Bed linen was clean and smelled nice. Hotel front desk was very friendly. I also happened to learn that a famous Buddhist temple – A city of thousand Buddhas – is nearby, that’s a pleasant surprise!
The hotel itself isn’t terrible, but the staff are. I had a room cleaner try to come into my room while I was there and the dog not disturb sign up. She said she’d been told I had checked out. At that point I was still going to be there 3 weeks. And I heard other stories that I won’t share because they were not my story.
Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Only con i didn’t like is that the hotel people are really strick on smoking policy. But don’t really provide a place for those who do. Just a space next to the dump in the corner of the parking lot, with no type of shade or sitting. It rained alot while I was there and that was the only spot allowed to smoke and no where else. Its a 4/20 legal state but this hotel didn’t really seem to be friendly about that. Only downfall.
