Rooms was sold like it sleeps 4 but is a sofabed thats dirty with debrid from prior guest. Did not expected wifi to be a separate charged service. The fee is non refundable, i really wished we did not booked this place.
The rooms are lovely but the management/organisation is a nightmare. It took 20 minutes to check in (they couldn’t find my booking), they charge extra for WiFi (unheard of these days) and there was no soap or shower gel in our room and at 7pm when I went to ask in the office it was closed with no one answering their phones. This was really disappointing as after a full day on the road it’s not what we expect these days.
The cabin was amazing. We reserve it from eeb sute. We didn’t get there until late but there system to still get key etc was great. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed somewhere as clean ever. It had more than we needed inside too. Plates silverware, glasses , pots and pans to cook if you want. As well as fridge. Sofa sleeper was really comfy as was the bed. More than enough pillows and blankets. 2 tvs gas fireplace fans , table and chairs, iron and bored. Will definitely stay again.
Hot tub not working, don’t know if it will get fixed, pool cold. I like the cute independent cabins. Classic furniture. Gas fireplace. Couldn’t get the TV to work? Grounds are pretty. Weather is spectacular. Beaches abound! Just a little drive down the road. A wedding couple had a cabin near me. Very private. Clean bathroom and kitchen. Couch a bit dusty. Delicious café. Watch the speed bumps. Kitchen fully equipped. Full sized everything except dishwasher, but only enough dishes for 4, so dish soap, salt and pepper, coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, and towels all provided. Just bring food!
One of the things I love most about the location is that this is just far enough from the Bay Area to make it a bit less trafficked than say Bodega Bay for comparison. I love Bodega Bay by the way.
Lighthouse Point Resort has taken trailers and converted them into mini one bedroom apartment cabins. That’s the best way I could describe them. They are well maintained and the grounds are as well. You have your own porch and can barbecue in the common space if you wish. My family used this place as our launch point for adventures for a whole week. I found the grounds to be quiet and peaceful. It’s nice not to share walls with other people the way you do in a hotel. My kids can be loud and I felt less concerned about them having themselves a good time.
The place is nothing fancy- just clean and has everything we needed. If you are looking for something fancy then maybe look elsewhere.
The workers on site were friendly and helpful but we didn’t really need anyone for service other than to ask for extra supplies for the room.
My family does a lot of camping so my wife was so happy to have a private bath and kitchen. To be honest I was too. There is also on an on site coin operated laundry.
This was my first opportunity to visit point Arena and the surrounding areas and all I can say regarding the natural beauty is that it is really hard to beat. You can’t go wrong exploring the coast anywhere near highway 1 truth be told.
The location is awesome if you want to get out and explore by foot. You can hike all around and leave for long walks and hikes straight out of your cabin. We explored all the nearby beaches and the lighthouse as well. I highly recommend for someone looking for something affordable and a huge step up from camping. Especially so if you want easy access to unrivaled natural environments and coastal beauty. I definitely want to come back for another visit down the road.
