Overall, a good experience with good food.

But to be honest, I was worried though. When we arrived, there were several people waiting already. There was no host taking names for seating, and the staff was running around frantically. It was super busy because there was a concert on the pier right outside, and they looked like they were understaffed. It was about 15 minutes before anyone showed up to see people to seats, but, we were seated right away. After being seated, it was a few minutes before our waitress stopped by to drop off some waters, then disappeared trying to get orders out for the other customers already seated when we arrived. About 10 minutes later, she came back, which was perfect because it was enough time for us to figure out what we wanted, and we got our order in right away. She was friendly and immediately got our drinks to us.

The food came out in what I would consider a standard amount of time. I was for sure it would have taken longer given how frantic things were when we arrived. But, it came out in a very reasonable amount of time. Everything was tasty as well… The calamari was tender, not chewy. The seared ahi was delightful, the wagyu burger was cooked as requested and very tasty, the large salad was an actual large salad, and the clam chowder was very good as well.

Although our waitress was super busy tending to a ton of other tables, she did check in on us several times to make sure we were good. And she was friendly as well all the while. Kudos to her for being able to handle that amount of customers and not forget about us.

All in all, it turned out to be a good meal, even if it seemed like it started out a bit shaky. I’m the end, it turned out we had nothing to worry about.

We have never had a bad meal, here. Chris and Sara are our favorite waitstaff and the spot is lovely!
