Quite the disappointment. Don’t get excited about the fireplaces they proudly advertise – you aren’t allowed to use them. They are not gas or electric. Ours was beat up with a broken door handle. There’s nothing available to burn. Use is not permitted unless the outside temperature is 40 degrees or less. None of this is disclosed on the website or prior to or upon arrival, even though the front desk person said it was, she was unable to show us the disclosure. Before getting into the rest, let me post the Pros: Views; nice large balconies; room size, large bathroom and nice shower, quality bath towels.
Now the Cons:
Dirty: The loveseat fabric was stained. The baseboards were dirty. The exposed pipes under the bathroom sink, the light fixtures and toilet paper holder were extremely dusty, clearly had not had any cleaning attention for a long period. This was noticeable without even looking close.
Bedding: They don’t use fitted sheets. The sheets on the king bed were too short to tuck in at either end, so were a bunched up mess every morning. When we pulled back the covers upon arrival, it appeared as though our sheets might not have even been changed (can’t prove and didn’t find evidence of someone else’s funk, thank gawd), as they were bunched up vs tight like a newly made bed.
Ice Machine and service: My husband took the ice bucket with him when he went to the office to ask about something else, so the front desk person surely would have seen him holding the ice bucket. He then went to the ice machine to discover a sign directing you to the front desk for ice. An observant person in customer service would have noticed the ice bucket and given him ice vs letting him waste his time going to the ice machine. While there, he overheard her on the phone informing another customer that the office would be closing at 5:00, no mention for them to bring ice if they need it. So, don’t expect front desk service or ice after 5:00 PM or any helpful disclosures when making reservation or upon arrival to help you manage your expectations whatsoever.
Overall impression: Tired property, furnishings and staff. Can’t expect even the most standard of things like properly fitting sheets, self-service ice, working fireplaces as advertised and proper cleaning/dusting. Disinterested staff – we mentioned that it was our anniversary when reserving and again when we arrived, which had zero effect regarding the experience they wanted us to have. Very poor communication re fireplace, ice and the fact that there are cushions available for the nice adirondack deck chairs – you have to be a bit nosey to discover them in a random cabinet near the entrances to the rooms.
Would not stay again, would not recommend unless you read this review and set your expectations accordingly.

I had a very pleasant two night stay here during their off season in season in January so it was very peaceful. My room was on the top floor and had a great view. The room was somewhat dated but clean and comfortable. The room had a refrigerator and microwave which made it convenient to have food in the room since there are limited dining choices but there are two grocery stores within walking distance.
