Hotel is within walking/biking distance of so many amazing places. It has a trolley stop right out front. There are Lyft bikes and lime scooters readily available.

That isn’t even mentioning the building, which is old, and old buildings have character. I LOVE the character: old time-y elevator, fire escapes, actual KEYS (both to your room and to the building)

The employees were friendly but not over-bearing. The room was clean.

Some caveats; If you don’t like being in the middle of a city, it probably isn’t for you. Yes, the street traffic is loud. Yes there are homeless people who are addicts in the area. Yes, there a decent amount of litter on the side walks.

I will definitely be coming back. The only downside that I wished was changed – there isn’t a mini-fridge in the room.

Excellent location and great value. The rooms are updated, a little worn in the bathroom but clean. There is an attendant at the front desk which adds to the safety and hospitality. Overall a classic boutique, in-town hotel. We’ll definitely come back.

This location and the price are impossible to beat. I’ve stayed in SF Soma/Market st area every trip for the last 5 years. Hands own the best service for what you’re paying for. Elevator on site. Frequent quality room servicing.
Not many over hotels (and in my experience, none) offer nearly as a well-maintained stay for such a value.
To be able to hop on the trolley right from the front door was impeccable. Additionally the lobby coffee bar was a stellar touch.

If you want to travel and experience the city right from the heart of it, this is your hotel.

I really enjoy the location of the Edwardian even though it’s somewhat antique it is a fine boutique hotel. It has all the important Basic amenities. The rooms are clean. The staff is wonderful. You can get to any place in the city by foot basically and lots of art and music around as well as restaurants.

I walk to the Jazz Center, hospital, park, museums and the farmers market all easily. No refrigerators in the room but private bath and wonderfully quiet considering it’s right on market Street.
