Wow, this place was such a good find. It’s been a while since I’ve had Mexican food this good, especially ceviche. Their aguachile was fantastic and took me right back to the coast of Mexico. The arrachera was delicious too!
And honestly, even the chips, salsa, and beans deserve a mention. They kept bringing more, and I was not complaining. Some of the best I’ve had, especially the fresh salsa and those beans!
Huge thanks to Kevin, our bartender, for all the amazing recommendations. He really knew his stuff and made the whole experience even better. And I’m so glad we got to try the tres leches before leaving. What a perfect way to end the meal!
*Cocktails were a 10/10 too!

This is certainly a nicer Mexican restaurant. It’s higher quality food, a fantastic environment, an atmosphere, great seating, and the quality of service is top tier. It’s conveniently located in Midtown Sacramento. They have quite a few options to choose from for both food and drinks. They offer Pepsi products to drink. I ordered their steak burrito and found it to be really delicious. Almost far more than I could possibly eat. The chips and salsa and beans and guacamole We’re all delicious. A great experience all around. If I wanted some good Mexican food, this would be a destination I would choose.

Fantastic dining experience! My husband and I were so impressed and pleased with the top notch service, delicious food, and wonderful ambiance. Every staff member was warm, welcoming, and accommodating. I particularly liked how they all worked seamlessly as a team and helped each other. The manager came out to our table (twice!) and brought a treat for us because it was our first time at the restaurant – so awesome! We can’t wait to come back!

Zocalo never disappoints! Great service with a surprise amuse-bouche at the beginning of or visit. A delicious corn based treat with pineapple, vanilla cream with blueberry plated beautifully with purple flower and confession sugar.
Our breakfast burrito was giant so we split it and it was still enough to bring some home. Eggs, carne asada, cilantro rice, black beans, potato and magic…
The beverage was sweet red sangria with a giant blackberry and an orange slice.
A perfect compliment to the meal.
Just a wonderful experience as always. Highly recommend this place for any means or occasion!
