Late night tacos are the best after a night out in LA and Tacos La 26 provided the best experience!

They have a great system where you have lines for ordering tacos and another line for quesadillas and other options. The employees were quick, kept everyone in line. Lively and upbeat area and everyone looked quite happy lining up and chatting while they waited. I went straight to the taco line and even though it was decently long, it moved along very quickly. I ordered 2 tacos – lengua and cabeza. After picking up your tacos, make sure you pick up your potato. This potato is super flavorful and tastes really good alongside the tacos.

After paying, there is an area with toppings for your items. Toppings include onions, cilantro, charred jalapeno, spicy pickled onions and charred onions. There is also 3 sauces you can choose from as well – two green sauces and 1 red/orange sauce. All of the sauces are spicy, even the creamy green sauce, so be warned! I got the creamy green sauce and it is SO good. I absolutely love how good the meats tasted – tender and juicy – and the freshly made tacos. It really hit the spot when I had my tacos after being out, and my friends were thoroughly happy with their items too. I would highly recommend Tacos La 26!

We stopped by while visiting LA, in search of good local tacos and Taco La 26 did not disappoint!!! The tortillas were fresh, the salsa was delicious & the al pastor was my favorite! I love that they have free roasted potato’s and onions, so no matter what you get a filling meal.

You order at the food station then pay at the counter with the square machines. No where to sit but honestly they’ll be gone before you could sit down.

It is a block from skid row, & as tourist we weren’t familiar – but like anywhere else, just pay attention to your surroundings. The location is gated and there’s plenty of parking.

Open late and so delicious! 10/10 recommend & would DEFINITELY eat here again.

The food is delicious! I ate here 3 times during my week vacation. I could not get enough of the tacos and potatoes. The food is fresh and the frescas are too! You serve your own onions, radish, and cilantro etc. I would recommen this place it is 10/10. I will be back next time I’m in L.A which I hope soon. Lol The staff is friendly and atmosphere is great. I saw people eat standing outside their car, inside the car, and one group brought a folding table. Plenty of parking but can get busy toward the end of week and at night. Enjoy!

Delicious and fast tacos. The restaurant knows what they are doing. The lines moved so fast and I got me food within 5 minutes. They have complementary potatoes which is awesome since they help with the spicy of the spicy salsas. They also have a self serve salsa and topping bar which is my favorite so I can generously garnish and drench my tacos in salsas. We realized this was a really popular spot in this area because it was already 12 am and this place was still really packed. Really delicious and authentic tacos, will definitely come back again.

Bring CASH! There is an ATM there. Walk-in or parking to tailgate/parking lot trunk dining at. $2.25 per taco; $18 for 8 tacos. Recommend those proteins over pastor and asada. Located between Little Tokyo and Arts District. Open late 9am-4am/5am. Portable sink there and hand sanitizers around, no restroom (porta potty were locked for staff usage only).

Is it me or did the quality and condiments get better? It’s definitely way better than when they were at their original location. On Google, this placed is called Tacos La 26 now vs Avenue 26 Tacos. Monday night 9pmish, there was no line and plenty of parking available. We’ve been here before but I guess 1st time sober?

I thought the lengua and tortilla was good. The SO liked cabeza out of lengua, cabeza and pastor. Both lengua and cabeza usually cost more so 5 stars on price and quality for those. We don’t remember asada or pastor beong that great here. It’s the condiments that really make their tacos. Their pickled red onions and potatoes add extra value. Drink station includes drinks, and more to buy from.

    – Hot Toppings: 2 potatoes (delicious! Only 2 per plate or pay $0.50 for more), grilled onions, grilled peppers.
    – Cold Toppings/condiments are located on the side: Picked red onions, diced onions with cilantro, green verde sauce, green guac sauce, radish slices, limes. No pickled carrots here but I rather have picked red onions instead.
