I was extremely disappointed. I wasted $50. I drove 10 minutes away into Shingletown and had a delicious pizza and great beer on tap that actually tasted good.
The Sweet Spot beer was flat, fries weren’t cooked, the burger was raw and the chili if that’s what you want to call it, was missing a lot of ingredients and flavor. Severely disappointed! The venue is beautiful and I would have liked to have had more drinks and listen to the band, but I couldn’t stomach another expired beer.
The staff was nice and accommodating.
Loved the cornbread drizzled with honey butter and the chili filled with such tasteful beef. The Humboldt Honey Cider was a great companion. Sweetshoots has a good vibe (great music) and awesome, open seating areas inside and out.
I truly enjoyed my Harvest Host stay at Sweetshoots in Manton, California before heading to Lassen Volcanic National Park. The hosts were warm and friendly, the setting peaceful, and the coffee and baked goods were delicious! It’s the perfect stop for travelers looking to relax, recharge, and enjoy small-town charm before exploring the park.
Sweetshoots is an adorable new venue in Manton Ca. With a bamboo type vibe it delivers sweet homy-ness with a new vibrant esthetic. Coffee drinks, sandwiches, small knoshies ,fresh fruit drinks and fountain drinks along with several different kinds of beer, a delicious kombuscha and a wide variety of local wines are available. Some nights there is music on the stage in the very cute outdoor area or a more mellow solo musician inside. Kids welcome too!
Take the beautiful drive through Wild California on route 36, enjoy a beverage and relax. Sweetshoots is well worth the drive.
