We really enjoyed lunch here. We got both the New England Style White Clam Chowder and the Manhattan Style Red Clam Chowder, which is a nice dairy-free option, and they both tasted fresh and light, not too rich or heavy, just the right balance, which I appreciated since I don’t like things that are too rich or salty. The sourdough bread was a great deal too, and the potato salad was okay. Just a heads up that the line gets long around lunchtime and there’s no parking lot, so you’ll have to find parking nearby, but it’s worth it.

The white clam chowder was delicious, as were the crab salad & shrimp salad sandwiches. Very fresh tasting. Got loaf of sourdough and butter too. Arrived at 930am to beat the crowd. The lady at the counter was friendly and polite.

We stopped here for lunch on a Tuesday and can see why it’s so popular. By around noon, there was already a long line, but it moved fairly quickly. We ordered the white clam chowder, red clam chowder, and the crab sandwich, and all were excellent. You order at the counter, and there are a few outdoor tables for seating. If you can, try to arrive before the lunch rush. Definitely worth the stop if you’re visiting Bodega Bay!

I had a fantastic visit to Spud Oyster Company (fisherman cove). The oysters were impeccably fresh, with a clean briny snap and a well-curated selection that made tasting fun. And you must try the lobster roll! Service was prompt eventhough the line is out the door. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, with a coastal charm that made the whole experience easy to enjoy. Overall, a great spot I’m happy to recommend.

Wow! Really enjoyed the food, service & atmosphere here. We were in Bodega Bay for a couple of days before our Sonoma & Napa Valley wine trip & this spot was first on my list. We got there at 9:30 am on Thursday morning because I wanted to beat the crowds. Street parking was free but very limited. No line. Got the white clam chowder & the red clam chowder, the crab sandwich & a loaf of the sourdough bread. Cashier was nice & friendly. I thought the white clam chowder was delish with a good amount of clams & chunks of potatoes. The red one was also good but tasted more like tomato soup with clams. Some reviewers mentioned the crab sandwich is small & full of mayo. I agree it’s both but I thought it was a great sandwich & even tried fisherman’s cove next door to compare. While fisherman’s cove had more chunks of crab, & ciabatta bread, I liked the flavor of this sandwich more. I would skip the sourdough bread since ours didn’t seem very fresh. If you’re in Bodega Bay, it’s definitely worth stopping by especially early in the morning when there are no lines. We got to sit at a table outside & enjoy the marina views. I would definitely come back on my way to or from Bodega Head Trail.
