I’ve eaten at other locations and enjoyed the food more. The service here was great, but the steak fajitas were just okay. I’ve also had the burrito at another location, which I enjoyed. I’ll visit the other locations again, but probably won’t return to this one.

If you haven’t been to Sal’s yet, you’re missing out.
I started off with a Mangonada Margarita, and hands down, it was one of the best drinks I’ve had in a while—a perfect mix of sweet mango, fresh lime, and a salty-spicy Tajín rim.
For my main meal, I ordered the combination plate with a chile relleno, a taco, an enchilada, rice, and beans. Everything hit the mark. The chile relleno was super tender and packed with cheese, the taco had incredible flavor, and the enchilada sauce was delicious. Even the rice and beans tasted as if someone’s abuela made them with love ❤️
I also want to give a quick shoutout to Ariana, the manager. I recently stumbled upon a review that tore her apart—it was a true masterpiece of bitter entitlement. But as the old saying goes: La gente miserable siempre busca compañía—miserable people always need company.
To judge Ariana by the tantrums of a disgruntled customer is to miss the point entirely.
In reality, Ariana is the warmest, most gracious presence you could hope to meet in the hospitality industry. She manages the floor with effortless, genuine kindness, treating every guest not just like a customer, but as family welcomed into her own home.
If you see a ripple of worry on her face, know it is only because she cares so deeply about every single detail of your experience.
At Sal’s Mexican Restaurant, sazón isn’t just present; it is the absolute foundation of the establishment.
Go for the sublime Mangonada Margarita, stay for the immaculate chile relleno, and make sure to tell Ariana she’s doing a spectacular job. Hearts like hers are the real secret ingredient.

After living in 2 different states with no good Mexican food we’re so happy to be back. We’ve been eating Sal’s for over 40 years.
Not only was the food delicious and the portions large, the staff were all friendly. We had great service.

I have to update my review. Today, I ordered once again, the “fancy burrito” but this time I ordered the chili con carne. I also paid for extra meat. Huge mistake. Their meat is just so salty. Same with some of their sauces they use. Unfortunately, I can’t do it. I won’t be back.
I’m in the area for business and a friend of mine knows the area. He told me I should try this place. They had a pretty packed house the first day i came by. I sat at the bar, they were pretty busy so it took a few minutes to get a beer. Beer was nice and cold, the server was nice. It’s a fairly small bar. They have a pretty good selection of alcoholic beverages. I tried the fancy burrito and a hardshell taco. I took it back to my room and it sat for a little longer, not to long. My hardshell taco was ok, simple, white cheese, meat lettuce, and diced tomatoes. No cream nor sauce/chili of any sort given to me. Shredded beef, a little bit of flavor, slightly salty and I couldn’t tell if my tortilla was hardshell or soft? It was a little bit of both. Not really my favorite.
The Fancy Burrito (I got Salsa Verde)… It wasn’t what I expected, it’s not as big as it may seem. So it only has beans inside it, it was flat when I opened it, it wasn’t a burrito, the beans were pretty darn good, the pork… Was ok, the green salsa was good, but again, nothing to go along with it like sour cream, guacamole, or even a salsa! Would I come back? I sure would. I would like to try more of their dishes and this time ask for salsa, cream, and or guac. Maybe pay the extra money for extra meat.

We have eaten at other locations of this restaurant. But this location really didn’t seem to be as good as the others. This one definitely needs more staff to take care of the customers. And hopefully they have a person that could expedite the food orders on a busy atmosphere. My sister’s food and brother in laws food was cold. Yes we had a group of 8 people. And unfortunately the food was served at different times. So by the time my wife’s food arrived. The rest of the group was almost done with their meals.
The young man that took care of us was working a lot harder than our server. As far as going back to this location when we visit again from Arizona. More than likely not.
