We’ve been coming here every Sunday for about 2 years. Their quality is extremely consistent. Excellent Al Pastor and chorizo. They are quick and have very reasonable pricing. The friendliest staff. We will keep coming as long as we live here!
Street parking out front is competitive, but there is ample parking in the back around the block.

We had high hopes with the rating they had at 4.7 but unfortunately apart from the salsas the tacos are very much a disappointment. We had lengua, chicken, cabesa and chorizo. The lengua was the only good one. Rice and beans that came with the tacos were also underwhelming. The pickled jalapeño and carrots were good and so was the service.

I gauge the taquerias that I love by their super burritos, specifically carne asada and shrimp combo. My go to, El Maguey in San Carlos, is 10/10 consistently, but I wanted something new on a recent trip to the peninsula. I am so happy to have tried this nondescript taqueria –

JUICY shrimp, crisped (outside) and tender (inside) carne asada, and a crema sauce that brought this to San Diego level and style of fluffy soft tortilla with juicy filling. So, so good.

PS: the salsa were FRESH. Nice and cold and chunky tomatillo onion and avocado / cilantro options, and also salsa roja and escabeche that was to die for
Coming back 100% when I return to the Bay

A very tidy El Camino taqueria where flavors are clean and simple. Meats are seasoned just right, not too salty or greasy.

Al pastor, carnitas and shrimp tacos, all good

I’d like to give it a higher rating, but it’s just okay. The service is lovely and the people working there are super nice. And a bonus point for the cleanest salsa bar I’ve ever seen at a taqueria. But the burrito was kinda bland, the rice was soggy, and the meat was pre cooked it looked like. And also, $13+ tax for a “regular” burrito is a bit steep for not even being in a city center. At least the chips were free.
