I went to Rubi’s because I was craving Alma’s bean and cheese burrito. We were in Fremont and Google Maps took us to the taco truck across the street from where Alma’s usually is—but it was gone. So we decided to give Rubi’s a try, and I am SO glad we did!
First off, the customer service was incredible. I noticed their bean burrito is made with whole pinto beans, so I asked if they could do smashed refried beans instead. Most places would just say no—but she happily said they could smash them for me, no problem! That extra effort meant so much and really stood out.
Then the food came… and wow. My husband got three super tacos (2 lengua, 1 asada), and everything was absolutely delicious. Honestly, I felt like stopping people and telling them not to go anywhere else for lunch—this place is THAT good!
Everything was fresh, flavorful, and totally worth the drive and the money. We’d give it 10 stars if we could. Highly recommend!

The taco meat was dry and even crunchy. Two tacos for $2 – 3rd free? Either they misunderstood me or I was way over priced almost $20. Last visit there.

Amazing! Best Mexican food I’ve had in this part of the Bay Area. The staff was nice, and totally decently priced! You can taste they put time and love into thier food!

This is a food truck adjacent to a gas station. Food is decent but I didn’t the ingredients may not be the freshest. Below is a picture of the avocado in my nachos. Also, there’s a cash versus credit card price. The sauces were pretty bland. Service was pretty quick.

The food served here needs the sense of taste. They made a burrito bowl for us, I am not sure whether it was on the menu. It was vibrant, tangy, and so satisfying. The chicken tacos had an earthy flavor. I would definitely be a repeat customer!
