Their food and service use to be better. I got shredded a beef taco and the meat was dry with no flavor. They have good chips and salsa. The waiter we had never refilled our glasses and seemed miserable. Felt like the place wasn’t as good as it use to be.

I showed up here on the 4th if July at about 7:40 pm. They were closing in 20 minutes. They were still willing to serve me. Got drinks from bar next door. Food was excellent. Service was amazing. Ate street tacos and was on my way. We really appreciated them serving us late on a holiday. Very reasonable price too.

Puerto Azul is a hidden gem in San Jose! They have one of the best molcajetes in town packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and large enough to share. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious, and you can tell they put a lot of care into their food.
One of my favorite parts of the experience was their super cute outdoor patio dining area. It has a welcoming atmosphere that’s perfect for enjoying a meal with family or friends. Between the amazing food, great ambiance, and friendly service, Puerto Azul is definitely a place we’ll be coming back to:-)
