My wife and I moved up to the Bay Area 6-7 years ago and since moving up, Ive looked for Al pastor that was similar to when I lived in San Diego. Most places have been disappointed but not here.
Not only is it the best Al pastor I’ve had in the tri valley, I’ll say it’s the best In the east bay.
Location is on the side of the street near the Chase parking lot. We had an easy time finding parking at Chase(7pm). 6 people in front of us and probably took 15 minutes from getting to the front, ordering, and getting food.
Ordered (1) Al pastor Quesadilla. (1) Al pastor, carne asada, and cabeza tacos. This plus a large horchata came out to $32. Great value and my wife and I were both stuffed.
The Al pastor is cooked on a rotating spit. Flavors for everything was great. They cook food quick. My favorite thing of what we ordered was the Al pastor quesadilla, then cabeza, and last carne asada. The carne asada to be me was a bit more dried out than I would like.
Self serve cooked onions/jalapeños, raw onions and cilantro, pickled red onions and habaneros, and a salsa bar.
Mom and pop like business. Come and support them, you won’t regret it.
Their buche and lengua tacos are insanely good. However, it was still $3 last week when I went and now it’s suddenly $4? I understand that it is worth $4 and it is a small business, but when I told the guy about how it was only $3 last week he sounds like it was never $3 but always $4. Idk if they actually raised the price or was just trying to scam me
Best cap secret in Pleasanton, California. Do you want authentic Mexican food with great flavor ! This place is a must . fully loaded all the store potato is by go to with a large strawberry Horchata
We were shocked to finally see a taco stand in pleasanton. We’re from L.A. and when we lived here years ago, nothing tasted as good as L.A. tacos. Gave it a try during Super Bowl weekend and loved the tacos so much, we drove down from Corona and decided to stay the night here on our way to Sacramento just for the tacos. 🙂 We loved the asada and al pastor ones and their Agua de fresh. So good! It is busy on Thursday evening. Zelle or cash.
