This place is a little gem. We are fortunate to have several good Mexican restaurants in Vacaville, but this one has it all: a variety of good food, a salsa bar, fun wait staff, and no sense of being given the bum’s rush to get out the door. And the BEST chips I have ever tasted. They are fine, crisp, warm and …. more chips, please! Gracias to all!!

This was my first time at this particular Pelayo’s restaurant. It had a really cute atmosphere and we had exceptional service with an attentive waitress who also let us know about the awesome salsa bar that you can walk over to at any time! You are immediately given fresh, warm chips and salsa to start. The food was as great as always. I got a super burrito with shredded beef and my boyfriend got the torta. It was his first time ever trying Pelayo’s and he also loved it. Sidenote: The ranch here is surprisingly top tier! Will definitely be back!

This restaurant had a nice feel. But the food is not very good. The chips and salsa were close to the worst I’ve ever had. The salsa is super watered down and won’t even stay on the chip. The chips were super thin with hardly any taste. The enchilada didn’t even have any sauce on top. It’s like they water down their sauces. The plate came out hot but the food wasn’t that hot. The chile relleno was not good, didn’t have that much flavor at all. The waitress was friendly and very helpful. The bathrooms were clean and very big.

Wow the chips! Thin flour tortillas and salsa that are addictive it so good with the perfect light crunch. They get extra points for tequila margaritas. The food is great Tex Mex style. Service was excellent. A nice touch for families they offered a child’s menu and crayons. There’s a salsa bar that has several creations of salsa and jalapeños to satisfy your tastes. Enjoyed everything about this local restaurant. Recommended!
