This is a Mexican/Salvadoran food truck in my neighborhood. I initially ordered through Uber Eats and went to pick it up, but when I arrived, the owner mentioned they hadn’t received the order at all — even though the app showed it as ready for pickup. There was clearly some miscommunication. I ended up reporting it to Uber and got a refund. Since I was already there, I placed a fresh order directly.

I ordered a cheese and pork pupusa, which came with a small portion of pickled slaw and a tangy, slightly ketchup-like sauce. The pupusa was really good — it tasted fresh and felt like it was made from scratch.

I also ordered two tacos: one al pastor and one fish. Unfortunately, the tacos didn’t meet expectations. The al pastor meat was quite chewy and lacked flavor, and surprisingly, they weren’t served with salsa. The fish taco came on a flour tortilla (which I personally don’t prefer) and had a few fish pieces with some salad that didn’t feel very fresh.

Overall, the pupusa was better and definitely worth trying, but the tacos were disappointing compared to other options in the area.

They messed up my order. Ordered 3 taco plates and only got one. This was lunch with friends so I am very upset. The problem is with the system. DoorDash manages the money. Paper Plates does the food. There’s no middle man checking that the order matches the payment. If they had done that, they would have seen three tacos on a plate does not match a $45 order. The cook was very apologetic. DoorDash less so. I feel I was entitled to a full refund for all the runaround I had to do. I actually drove over to the food truck to complain. I might as well have picked up my order and skipped the delivery. Then, an hour on the phone with DoorDash trying to recover my loss. They would only refund the cost of the two plates I did not get. Ugh!
