Everything we ate was fresh and delicious. The salsas were bomb! If you want music and “latin” ambiance, go to a night club. ¡Vine a comer!
As a Californian, to me, fusion is only natural, and it makes me more interested in trying new flavor combinations. Macondo hits just right in that respect. Can’t wait to bring the familia to try out some more.
Delicious. Arepas were really good and filled with a lot of tasty meat. The beet salad was the surprise star of the meal for me. Dinner combo with the juice was a great value. Exceeded all expectations – can’t wait to go back. We ordered to go FYI – restaurant is very small. Nice ice cream spot around the corner too for dessert.
Tried 1 of each of the baked empanadas and they were so good, buttery and flaky! Our favorite was the guava one and the beef one. There’s not really any space at all to sit down so it’s mostly just take out. $40 for 5 empanadas
Went for breakfast. Amazing food and service! Their area (basically a breakfast sandwich on a folded fried corn flatbread) was amazeballs. The location is cool, but don’t expect a lot of space or places to sit. A couple of small tables inside and out is all they have. Definitely recommend, and will definitely return the next time we’re in Alameda. Yum!
Mind blown. Best Colombian pastries and breakfast ever. Their cheese empanadas beats out any sweet pastry at Porto’s in So Cal. Was not expecting this. But just as good was the Farmers Arepa and for
My carnivor self I added their beef… just try it. I’ve also returned for their Maracuyà (Passion Fruit) juice.
