Yum! This place is so cute. Warning the menu is massive but everything we had was authentic, hot and delicious. The Mole Enchiladas were divine and a classicly delicious Margarita. Prices reflected large portions. Lots of family style sharing options. Run don’t walk.
Love this restaurant in Sonoma. I’ve eaten at the other two mochates in Santa Rosa. This one has basically the same items on the menu a couple things slightly different. Again, One of the best Mexican restaurants in the north bay area. I would highly suggest visiting any three of these restaurants. The waiter also handed me a flyer offering Sunday brunch with bottomless mimosas.!
An exceptional dining experience. Food was some of the best we’ve had. The mole sauce is a must have. Quesadilla was great. Financial convictions.Drinks great. Mormon.Consider the cactus salad as a side.
Los Molcajetes in Sonoma is an absolute gem! The flavor of every dish was incredible—rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. I usually judge a Mexican restaurant by their rice (and whether I feel the need to mix it with beans). Not here! The rice stood strong on its own, packed with flavor, and the beans were equally delicious. Every single item had its own splash of personality and seasoning that made it shine.
The portions were generous, the presentation was inviting, and you could really taste the care in the cooking. Friendly service and a warm, authentic atmosphere just made the experience even better.
If you’re in Sonoma and craving Mexican food, don’t miss Los Molcajetes—you’ll leave happy, full, and already planning your next visit!

Friendly staff with an awesome interior and bar design. Great presentation of three taco plate.
The salsa is super tasty, the black salsa for the chips, and the taco is really flavorful and juicy carne asada.
I love that the grilled onions on it probably could have been charred a little bit more but really good and grilled jalapeno too.
They had a mariachi band for Cinco de Mayo.
Awesome restaurant/bar would go back again.
