I used to love Local Kitchens. It was one of my favorite places because it was close by, and I went there all the time. Unfortunately, ever since it reopened, the quality has gone downhill while the prices have gone up.
My most recent order was a chicken burger that was supposed to come with mayo and pickles, but neither was included. On top of that, the chicken was overcooked and dry. For the price they’re charging now, mistakes like that are really disappointing.
I’ve also noticed that the boba doesn’t taste nearly as good as it used to. Overall, the food quality, service, and value just aren’t what they once were.
One thing that also bothered me was feeling like I was treated differently because I wasn’t able to leave a tip. Not every customer can afford to tip every single time, and that shouldn’t affect the quality of the food or service they receive.
I honestly miss how this place used to be, but based on my recent experiences, I can’t recommend it anymore.
Will and the rest of the team are crushing it. We came here after a long hike in the state park. The Burrito was great the chips and guac are an excellent portion and I feel like everything was a solid deal thank you!
Hidden gem – the selection of offerings varies based on who they’re featuring at the time so this may not be there forever but the home made Horchata with berries is heavenly and so refreshing now that it’s getting warmer
The Chicken Adobada was the show stopper here. It was a great value item for the amount you get. It was flavorful and spicy. Plus it came with Guac and tortillas! The burger was not worth the price since it did not come with fries, but it was also flavorful, just the bun was a little stiff. The inside was clean and the service was impeccable. Straws, napkins, plastic silverware, and water accessible. There is a parking lot right behind the resturant.
This was the perfect lunch stop on our way back from a hike. Multiple options, so everyone can enjoy something. While you can eat inside and two outside tables, this isn’t a restaurant for ambience; more grab and go.
Food was great and sizable portions. The staff was super sweet and brought us our tray of food. We got the Vietnamese egg rolls and the chicken adobada rice plate which were both fantastic. Will definitely be back to try something new!
