This will be our first and last time visiting this location. I understand everyone has bad days, but Alexander’s lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was completely unacceptable.
Not only was he cold, unresponsive, and difficult from the moment we arrived which affected the experience for all 13 people in our party. He literally spilled ice cream on my daughter’s head. To make matters worse, he showed zero concern or remorse.
The restaurant wasn’t busy, and our large group was polite and easygoing, making his blatant disrespect even more baffling. He completely soured what should have been my sister’s birthday celebration. Management needs to address this employee’s behavior so future guests don’t have to go through the same experience.
This dinner was memorable because of how ridiculously bad our server was. The precedent was set when we were ordering our food. Alexander, our server seemed to get irritated when my dad ordered the chicken and asked a simple question about the sauce. He got a scolding about how it was going to get “brought out to him”. It set an awkward tone that the whole party felt. As we got our food, we weren’t given refills of water and weren’t checked on once. My cousin asked for another napkin and the third time our waiter walked away from him as he was talking. We had to clear the plates from the table ourselves so there would be room on the table for dessert. We ended up asking the bartender ( who was the most helpful even though she was busy) for napkins, boxes, etc.
The final straw came as desert was being served. One of the plates our server was holding tipped and the melted ice cream from the plate spilled onto my cousins head and dripped down her hair and shirt. The only acknowledgement was that “ it’s because her hair is curly” but not even an apology.
This was the most bizarre experience. It felt like we were being punished, but for what I’m not sure. The food was good at least.
Somebody recommended this place and went and was really good. Will definetly go back and if you haven’t tried it I say go ahead and try it. I had the three item plate with taco, enchilada, and rellano.
I usually don’t leave reviews on places I didn’t like or wasn’t satisfied with the experience. The best thing about this place was the service. I wasn’t a fan of the nuked refried beans, I’m pretty sure the beans were warmed up in the microwave. The spanish rice was weak, tasted just like cumin. Lastly, the crunchy taco was definitely crunchy. One bite of the crunchy taco and everything came spilling out of the taco. The chips and salas were the highlight of my lunch date with my mom. Mom didn’t like the sweet shrimp cocktail either. Shrimp cocktail is not supposed to be sweet! Ketchup should be optional, not incorporated in the cocktail.
We’ve tried both locations and this one was probably our favorite. The drinks were fantastic! Made by our server, whose name we did not manage to catch but provided exceptional service, nonetheless. He was very funny and friendly. My shrimp cocktail wasn’t the best quality, but decent. The shrimp was questionable, may have come from a frozen bag, so that was the only letdown. I would not order it again. But the chips and salsa were excellent! The restaurant itself is also very clean and would be a nice place to go for an afternoon round of drinks and some tapas! The rest of our meal was perfect!
