The best happy hour in town! Their tacos, especially Carnitas are the best I’ve had in the Santa Cruz area with consistency. Other places vary on the quality of their meat, but La chimichanga is like old seafood.

Best asada nachos I have EVER had. If I’m ever in the area again I will definitely stop here again. Generous portions kept me busy while the game was on. Almost licked the plate clean.

Finally checked this place after being in the area for years. Great, simple lay out inside with a nice long bar and a great selection of drinks. I would be very eager to try one of the special cocktails here if I drank. The server was very patient with me as I scanned the menu and went with a breakfast burrito with chorizo (it was after 12pm). The burrito came out in good time, was nice and hot to the touch as I ordered to go. They included every variety of salsa and some chips. Every salsa was delicious. I’m always partial to the verde which was creamy and lovely but the orange and red were also excellent. I’m sure they made them all that morning. The chips tasted like they were made with some kind of special salt or something? I’m not sure but they were so tasty that I nearly ate all of them in the car before even trying the salsas with them. My burrito was NOT greasy despite the chorizo which was a pleasant surprise. I think the eggs were scrambled into the meat which made them both kind of fluffy and creamy. No notes. I will return!
