    ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

Such a cool concept! Riding a train into the redwoods to grab a drink at a bar in the woods is a really unique experience. The train ride is about an hour round trip, and I loved that our dog could come along. The live music was also a nice touch.

That said, there were several disappointments. The mocktails were pretty bad with very limited options, and the food menu was tiny. This place would be amazing with smoked or grilled BBQ.

The biggest issue was the return train. The second-to-last train never showed up, leaving a crowd of frustrated guests waiting around with no communication. Also, don’t take the last train back because the music stops early, everything winds down, and you’re just waiting until you don’t get back to the parking lot until around 11 p.m.

One suggestion: this would make an incredible 21+ venue. It’s meant to be a relaxing bar in the woods, but kids running and screaming throughout the evening really took away from the atmosphere.

Great idea with lots of potential, but there are definitely some things that need improvement.

Nice spot. While you wait for the train, you can go for a short hike — there’s a small one-mile loop that takes about 20 minutes. The covered area is cozy, and they have games, so both adults and kids will stay entertained. The only downside is the coffee prices — $18 for two coffees is insane.

This was a great experience. We did the wine whiskey and mushroom train ride out of Fort Bragg. Glen Blair Junction is magical!!! The crew putting on the event did a great job !!! The bands that were playing there that day were great also. I really hope they get tunnel 1 open. Would love to see the rest of the train ride all the way to willits like it used to be

The train ride was excellent. I enjoyed the ride and also the 1 mile hike at the redwood grove. It is beautiful and peaceful. I will definitely do it again

A couple of good short hike available here once you’ve got there on the Skunk Train or Rail Bikes. One trail goes up the hill to a nice overlook of the junction. The other follows the track for a little while. You can also take a look at the collapsed tunnel there – which they’re hoping to reopen in a few years.
