Overall, a good experience. Food was yummy, our server was amazing. I would recommend if you are going to eat there and not use a high chair.
Context: There was someone working there, who we learned was one of the owners, who kept giving us dirty looks and gesturing at us because we had our infant with us and we were using one of their high chairs. I think she didn’t like the placement (they sat us at a booth and we had no other option?). It felt like she was going out of her way to trip on the legs while the other servers were walking around it. Overall, we felt unwelcome and a little tense because of how the owner was acting. I personally don’t think I’ll go back, but if you don’t need to use a high chair, I would probably recommend.

We just discovered the little gem restaurant tucked away in Grass Valley and really enjoyed the Chilean panqueques. The sangria was very good too! The atmosphere and service were outstanding. We will definately return. Great job!

First time at Diego’s and we’ll definitely be back. Great food, chill atmosphere, and a super welcoming spot for kids and dogs. Loved the outdoor seating and how relaxed everything felt—no stress, just good eats. Staff was friendly and patient, which always matters when you’ve got kids with you. Awesome local find in Grass Valley.

Diego’s is such a fabulous little place that has delicious food but amazing dining environment. The owner is such a sweet heart who named it after her grandson. I have been here twice and it is now a MUST GO TO while in Penn Valley and Grass Valley area. Cheers, well done ✅
