I don’t always give a 5 ⭐️, but when I do, it’s because they check all the boxes. Casa Fina Restaurant & Cantina in the heart of Boyle Heights is an absolute gem, and easily one of the best authentic Mexican dining experiences in all of Los Angeles! From the moment you walk through the door, you are greeted with warm hospitality, vibrant artwork, incredible energy, and the mouth-watering aroma of traditional Mexican cooking. Whether you are coming in for a casual family lunch, a night out with friends, or just craving top-tier Mexican comfort food, Casa Fina delivers on every single level.

Visited for the first time and sadly I was underwhelmed by the flavor of the food. Just about everything else was at least pretty good, especially the service. There was a Trio playing music and that was cool but as you might expect they play pretty loud for an indoor setting. This of course is to be expected from all groups in any indoor setting so no negative about this just letting people know there may be music going on.
We were in a party of four and no one complained about the food (or complimented it either). I shared mixed molcajete and this was the first time I ever had one that was pretty bland. The sauce tasted like tomato sauce with little seasoning and no punch to it in terms of seasoning or spiciness and I’m not looking for anything crazy hot by any means. We ordered a guacamole as a starter which came with a handful of chips as well as chicharones, although the avocados were at peak creaminessthe diced tomatoes were not mixed in to it, but rather sitting on the side…?

Felt like the food was prepared for tourists.
