The food was absolutely delicious! The hostesses, wait staff & bar staff were ON IT. We had an excellent table right in the middle of the dining area able to listen to the music, people watch and enjoy our food and drinks. Thx again Casa de Rey and Mr. Romero. Reservations HIGHLY recommended as you can expect an hour and a half to two hour wait time on a Saturday night.

The food was amazing, especially the steak and shrimp burrito. The atmosphere was fantastic and really unique, which is exactly what you’d hope for in Old Town San Diego. The staff was also incredibly friendly and welcoming. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip and a place we’d happily come back to.

Casa de Reyes is an absolute gold mine of a find. The food was fresh, flavorful, and some of the best Mexican cuisine I’ve had. Every dish came out perfectly prepared, and the service was friendly and attentive from start to finish.
What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. The beautiful courtyard creates an authentic, relaxing setting that’s perfect for a night out, and the live music makes the experience even more memorable. It feels lively without being overwhelming and adds so much to the overall charm.
If you’re looking for great Mexican food, an incredible ambiance, and fantastic live entertainment, Casa de Reyes is a must-visit. I can’t wait to come back!
