A café inside a casino serving Filipino favorites. I ordered the crispy pata, caldereta, and kare-kare.
The crispy pata definitely satisfied my craving—I hadn’t had one in almost two years! It was crispy, flavorful, and the highlight of the meal.
The caldereta was a bit sweeter than I prefer, so it wasn’t my favorite. On the other hand, I really enjoyed the kare-kare. The peanut sauce was rich and delicious, but the serving of bagoong was disappointingly small. If I remember correctly, they charge about $1.50 for extra bagoong or additional crispy pata sauce, which felt unnecessary.
The service was excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and our food arrived quickly.
I don’t know. I’m conflicted. Growing up, this would be the place to hang out late at night to get a good hearty meal after a night downtown. I went recently while I was in town and it wasn’t nearly as good as it was back then. Service lacked quite a bit, I saw many employees huddle at the register talking to each other while a few tables near mine were trying to track down someone who can take their order after waiting for about 10 minutes. Filipino food tasted excellent, but any other cuisine was mediocre at best.
Came here late one night after a show in the city. They were able to seat us right away. Food is served pretty quickly. And it was really good. Recommend the fried rice, fried fish platter and halo halo. I’ll be back esp for halo. Be aware they have a one hour limit for sitting and eating
Colma Cafe, I thought it was something new. But this is actually the cafe/restaurant inside Lucky Chances Casino. Which I’ve had their food in the past.
I remember the food being really good especially tho r fried rice. But this time it was just ok. We ordered a couple of their silogs( tapsilog and Longsilog), we also had got spaghetti and fried tofu.
The Longsilog was good. But I’m disappointed at the tapsilog. The meat looked and tasted like it was a day old. The fried tofu was not crispy. We did love the spaghetti though. It was Filipino style spaghetti but it wasn’t too sweet and the cheese went well with the sauce. We loved it.
The service was ok too. There was no line and the food was ready in 15 mins. Maybe next time it’ll be a better experience.
The Kare Kare sauce was good. I wish the oxtail was more tender, same with the pork sinigang. The beef caldereta wws very good tho. The service is good.
