This is a wedding review for the venue. The place is beautiful and comes with so much for what you’re paying. The bad experience here came from the sisters only on the wedding weekend. The sisters were super nice to the bride and groom (my sister and brother in law), but that did not follow to the wedding party. One sister hid the Bride and Grooms hand fasting cord on the day of the wedding, so it was never photographed and I did not have it as the officiant and the ceremony was starting. We were madly rushing around looking for it, and the other sister was creepily following me around the house staring at me as if that would make it appear. My sister found it in a drawer of a random dresser in her bedroom. The sister who hid it never admitted it or apologized. I’m sure she just didn’t know what it was but it deserved an apology. Also, one of the sisters had the photographer yell at me to leave the ceremony site earlier in the day while I was trying to organize something the bride had asked me to do. That sister was pushy and rude to me about getting seated quickly for the ceremony after looking for the cord, which was disorienting because I was asked to take the flower girls hair down right before. The way the sisters acted very much impacted my experience of the wedding with my sister. I would be cautious.
To say I am obsessed with Yokayo Ranch is an understatement! As a wedding photographer this is my version of the happiest place on earth lol the landscape is gorgeous and the home interiors have character and are designed beautifully. Everything is so well thought out. It is the perfect back drop of an amazing beautiful wedding and the staff is great to work with.
Yokayo Ranch was an absolute dream come true for our wedding. Tucked into the peaceful hills of Ukiah, the property feels like a hidden oasis—lush, serene, and surrounded by nature in the most magical way. Every corner of the ranch has a natural beauty that made our weekend feel so special and grounded. From the sweeping trees to the gentle golden light at sunset, it was the perfect setting for such a meaningful celebration.
Rachel, who owns and runs the venue, is truly an angel. From the very start, she was attentive, calming, and so easy to work with. She went above and beyond to help us feel supported—from arranging beautiful flowers to helping find bartenders and smoothing out all the little details that make a wedding feel effortless. Her warmth and calm energy made the planning process feel personal and joyful. We always felt like we were in good hands.
The ceremony space was elegant and intimate, and the dinner area glowed with charm and love. Our friends who stayed on the property felt so at home—they swam in the pool, danced to music on the outdoor speakers, and gathered in the stunning kitchen of the main house for late-night laughs. Every moment of the weekend felt relaxed, beautiful, and deeply memorable. We truly couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to begin this next chapter of our lives.
We just got married there, and it was honestly beyond anything we could’ve hoped for. The venue itself is stunning—peaceful, warm, and naturally beautiful in a way that doesn’t need (or want) a bunch of over-the-top extras. But what made it truly unforgettable was Rachel and her incredible team.
From the very beginning, Rachel made everything feel easy. She’s organized, intuitive, calm, and somehow manages to be both laid-back and on top of every detail. I never felt overwhelmed, never stressed. I fully trusted her, and that trust paid off a thousand times over.
The florals were perfect—gorgeous but not fussy, exactly in tune with the setting and the vibe we’d envisioned. Her staff was so kind and attentive, and the whole event flowed effortlessly thanks to their care and presence. Guests kept commenting on how beautiful everything was, but also how relaxed and fun the day felt. There was no pretense or pressure—just love, laughter, tacos (SO GOOD), and pure joy.
Rachel also helped us source our food (YUM), hair and makeup artist (who was amazing), our dessert vendor (adorable and delicious), and even supported our late-night In-N-Out plan. She managed every piece of the puzzle with grace and humor, and made sure we got to actually enjoy our wedding day. (Which we did. Fully. With Palomas. And a piano man. And guacamole on my dress.)
We’ve joked with our guests about making this an annual thing, and honestly? We might not be joking. Yokayo is that special. And if you’re lucky enough to have Rachel by your side, you’re in very good hands.
We celebrated our wedding in September 2024 at Yokayo, and it was a beautiful and amazing experience. The Yokayo team designed the property beautifully, the spaces felt open, cozy, and were a beautiful backdrop and gathering space for our families to celebrate. Our friends that stayed in glamping tents and the bunkhouse top floor had an awesome and fun time. Rachel and her team are incredibly experienced with weddings and helped our day go smoothly and turn out more beautifully than we could have imagined. We also worked with Rachel and Field House Florals for our flower arrangements, which were stunning (brought me to tears.) Rachel and her team were incredibly helpful leading up to the big day, and their vendor recommendations are great. Thanks to the Yokayo team for an amazing weekend we won’t forget!
