We went here for lunch on a Saturday and were greeted immediately by the server and seated right away. There was no crowd yet.
For our appetizer, we ordered the calamari tempura. It came with spicy mayo, and it was so good! The serving size was decent and perfect for sharing.
For our entrees, we ordered the salmon nigiri and two lunch combos. The salmon nigiri came with 3 pieces, and the fish-to-rice ratio was very generous. Most places only serve 2 pieces per order, so it was nice to get more here. Definitely worth the price.
My husband ordered the pork and chicken tonkatsu lunch combo, while I got the pork tonkatsu and shrimp tempura combo. The shrimp tempura was a bit disappointing because it only came with one shrimp, while the rest were battered vegetables. The tonkatsu was seasoned well but was a little dry. On the bright side, the tempura was fried good, including the vegetables.
We waited about 20 minutes for the appetizer and entrees, but thankfully they served the salad and miso soup first, both of which came with the lunch combo. The house dressing on the salad was slightly sweet, which I enjoyed, and the miso soup was well-seasoned—not too salty and not bland.
Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would come back again whenever we’re craving Japanese food đŸ™‚

The staff was friendly and everything on the plate looked amazing. The food itself was good but not the best I’ve had. Popcorn scallops were a fun dish and tastted great. The shrimp sashimi was mostly batter and had very little shrimp flavor, but the veggies were great. Overall portions and pricing are fair. And the place has pleasant natural light during lunch, even if the decor is a little tired and basic.
​The downside was how disorganized everything felt. Our server seemed completely lost. Two of our mains actually went to a different table before eventually making it to us, and we had to flag her down when we saw her wandering to the other side of the room with our combo sashimi. Food just came out in a random order, and we had to keep flagging someone down just to get a drink refill.

My NEW Sushi spot!!! Food taste was excellent, generous sashimi portions, rolls were fantastic!! I’ve tried all the sushi spots in the area and hands down I will only go here now!
