Beautiful location, but tight camp spots. You will get to know your neighbors! Some are more private than others and most have nice cover from small trees/bushes. Only a handful are beach front. The others are off the beach with limited only no beach view. Be ready for a bit of wind and fog as is normal on the coast here.
Camping on the beach. Small campground with small sites but great for getting on the beach. Not a safe place to swim. Lots of RV campers. Regular bathrooms with hot water.
What an amazing campground. It’s popular for a reason. It’s right on the beach and the view is amazing. If you’re lucky to get a spot, try to get ones connected to the beach but all sites are fine. I strongly recommend this spot over Bodega Dunes.

No reception. No frills. No RV hookups. Minimal amenities. And it’s still the best campground in Sonoma.
You come here for the serenity, tranquility, and raw beauty of the pacific coastline. You don’t need much else, save for good food and good people.
Sites 1-10 have direct view/access to the beach. #4 and #10 are our favorites. The bathrooms are more modern and clean (but there are no showers).

Our campsite was pretty much right on the beach. Beautiful views, great place to bring your pups. It’s nice to hear the roaring surf all night.
