We were looking for an out of the way spot to camp and relax over night on the way back from Oregon. Found Lake Shastina campground on Google map. After a little side trip we found this is only a day use area. we were also hoping to have a view of Mt. Shasta from camp site by a few photos that we saw. No luck there either. So if anyone sees this on Google map and is thinking about camping overnight. Your out of luck. Peaceful but no overnight camping.

Very beautiful place it’s a bit hard to get to if you just enter the location into the GPS it takes you through a bumpy road. Fun when in a truck but may be too much for a car.

Amazing sites. Really spacious and trees separate the sites for privacy. I’ve come on a Saturday a few times and there’s an opening.
