Yesterday it was time to put down my sweet little chihuahua mix. I am so grateful for the compassion shown by Dr. Nagra, and his very kind assistant. They were gentle with my sweet girl, and took care that her final moments were peaceful.
If I could do 0 stars for this review I would. This animal hospital is dishonest and crooked. My family and I had a cat that was in need of medical help so we reached out to this hospital in order to get the help this cat needed. We informed them that we didn’t have the funds until payday came around and asked if we could work out a payment plan. Due to it being an emergency they said to go ahead and bring the cat in and asked for 75 dollars for the doctors time, and said that we can work out a payment plan that best works for us. So we did, and informed them we wanted the cat. Next thing we know they call wanting us to sign a lease form and telling us that we can’t have the cat unless we give them 1k first thing the next day. Knowing we don’t have the funds after they said we can work out a payment plan. We DID NOT SIGN THE RELEASE FORM. They REFUSED TO WORK WITH US AND REFUSED TO HAND THE CAT OVER AND NOW THE CAT IS NO LONGER THERE. we do not know where the cat is. They were dishonest and played games with us. This is the first time going to this vet and after this I will no longer consider this vet as an options for pet care in the future due to fear of loosing my pets. I’ll be taking my pets up to redding, Humboldt county, or down to Santa Rosa from here on out. NO LONGER TRUST ANY VETS IN THIS AROUND.
Willits Animal Hospital is a standout facility where the staff truly understands that pets are family members, not just patients. Every interaction is defined by a level of compassion and genuine care that is hard to find, making what can often be a stressful experience feel much more manageable and supportive. The doctors and technicians take the time to listen to concerns and explain treatments thoroughly, showing a deep commitment to the well-being of the animals and the peace of mind of their owners. It is clear that the team here isn’t just doing a job; they are dedicated animal lovers who prioritize kindness and professional excellence in every visit. For anyone in the Willits area looking for a veterinary team that treats your pet with the same love you do, this hospital is an exceptional choice.
The staff at Willits animal hospital are friendly and very informative. Our cat became ill and we were able to schedule an appointment quickly and the visit itself was a very positive experience. Our family looks forward to continuing to have pur pets seen at Willits Animal Hospital.
Absolutely terrible vet. Before they even start addressing your dogs issues they have their vet techs give you their song and dance about how much better food with grain is for dogs. Because they’re selling food with grain. Do they care if they food is filled with glyphosate that will give your dog cancers like lymphoma? Of course not. They’re trying to make more money from people who love their animals. They tell you vaguely about a study with grain diet and dog hearts, but they don’t cite the numerous studies that found the food they’re selling in the lobby has unsafe levels of glyphosate in it for your pet. That’s the red flag you need to show you they’re trying to milk you dry and not help you or your animal. How much education does a vet tech have in nutrition? It’s literally zero. How about focus on the issue that brought is in? It’s kind of the priority. And of course as soon as you walk out after they fear monger there’s big display cases of kibble filled with glyphosate. Makes you question what other financial incentives they have with what they prescribe. Clearly if your dog has cancer they make a lot of money, so why would they care if there’s glyphosate in the food they sell and if studies found them to be unsafe? I literally just want a good local vet. Such a bummer and makes life so much more complicated.
