This place is 10/10 all the way! Pastries are delicious, service was terrific, and the gals working there were super friendly. And the prices? Don’t get me started.. So much more affordable than the bougie places downtown and seriously just as delicious. We’ll be visiting every time we’re in town!

I have tried some of their breads and they are OK. Could be better. Not on par with La Brea. The baguette looks good but only comes in French (sweet) not sourdough. They should start making sourdough baguettes. The batards are shaped too much like basketballs but do come in sourdough as well as the non-sour or Pane Francese. They are moist inside not over baked and dry so that’s good. Pic of baguette and toasted slice of sourdough.

My favorite bread is made here ! Oliver’s carries their bread options, but I prefer to buy it fresh from this location.
There is a bakery display with options to have with a cappuccino. Kind and caring staff. Cute little tables inside and outside. So glad they came back after the Sebastopol location flooding situation years ago, relocation process, and through the pandemic.

This bakery is awesome! I sent the a photo for a heart cake and the executed it perfectly! Not only did it look beautiful but it was one of the best tasting cakes I’ve had. I will be using them for all my cake needs

I have been going to village bakery since I was a child, I have seen them go from a local sebastapool bakery to a gentrified chain in live time as they continue to cater to the richer implant community in Sonoma county. They have gotten rid of some of their best pastries that their current staff seem to not even know exist despite promises that they would come back after covid. Now their bread. Again, I have been eating this bread for literal decades and have never had as many problems as I have this year. Despite being some of the best bread around their quality control has slipped massively over the last few months. The most recent loaf I got was all hole! No bread just hole. I get mistakes happen but for nearly 9 dollars a loaf maybe teach people how to knead sourdough? Overall I love this place but its a shell of what it once was and I tear up a bit when I remember their cherry and blueberry cream cheese danish I will never get to eat again.
