Did a kayak to camp trip and it was excellent, highly recommend. Infrastructure on the beach was great, well maintained vault toilets and trash bins, and some nice picnic tables. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and the sunset and sunrise were just magical.

You should be aware that tides change significantly overnight so important to choose your camping spot wisely and same for your boat! We encountered a huge coyote there, and it would have been nice to know in advance how to proceed/navigate the situation, but we didn’t have any troubles in the end.

Watch out for the wind. Nice CG with good trails nearby

Boat in campsite. You can launch your boat or kayak from Miller boat launch. Has bathroom without running water. Don’t camp on the sloped sand by the water, because it’ll be underwater during high tide. No running water. Campsite may be busy on Saturdays. But there are lots of other beaches to camp at too.

Incredible site, and you’ll probably be by yourself if you don’t go on the weekend or if you go when it’s cold. There’s no running water, so bring lots of your own. There are a couple picnic benches, fire pits, and vault toilets. There are a couple nice hikes to Mcclure Beach and Tomales Point within walking distance, but don’t leave any food or anything shiny unattended because it will get attacked by gulls or large mammals.

Beach very shallow, so walking in mud at anything but high tide, pit toilets were great (they have toilet paper) but running fresh water would really have been helpful. There are garbage cans for your trash. Park service wasn’t giving out fire permits when we went but that didn’t stop every other camper from harvesting wood and building a fire. Got very chilly at night in April. We brought a small 360 deg IR propane heater. Worked fine. Fire would have been nicer. Watch out for the raccoons. They’re very bold. Take food right off the table while ur standing there…
