I just spent 5 days at the Larking Cottage as I did last year around the same time of year. I have been renting about and around Mendocino for at least once a year for over 20 years and now I have found the place I call my home away from home along the North Coast.
From each window which are floor to ceiling and the perfectly placed hot tub off the deck near the back door, I have a view of the Mendocino trees and the wild cliffs and ocean about a couple of hundred yards away. It is like living in a glass house with plenty of privacy and surrounded by the unique natural beauty of Mendocino. It is cozy and spacious at the same time with top grade bed and bedding and bath and kitchen accessories.

We were extremely happy with our stay at the Larkin Cottage. For starters, the location is perfect – just a quick 5 minute drive to the center of Mendocino.
The cottage is so charming and inviting. You can tell that Linda puts care into it’s upkeep and maintenance. And, how great to have a private deck, hot tub and yard right outside the back door.
Linda went the extra mile and left us a lovely gift basket to help us celebrate our birthdays.
This is now our “go to” place when we visit Mendocino for a weekend getaway.
