Truly one of the best hotels in wine country if you are looking for something romantic and cozy! The room was so cute and relaxing. The farm to table food was absolutely incredible. And the hotel grounds are gorgeous. The nearby (mainly family run!) wineries are all phenomenal too and don’t come with the big business/commercial impersonal feel of Napa/Sonoma. The perfect wine country escape!

This is a review solely of the restaurant as we did not stay there but if the sane care and love goes into the rooms, it must be special.
We stopped in for dinner and were wowed by the quality of the food. There’s a set menu without choices but we knew that and were fine with it. On the night we visited, it was chicken, but so wonderfully prepared it seemed like a new treat.
The wine list as you would expect had an excellent selection at reasoble markups.
The service was outstanding; warm, friendly and eager to explain and give us information.
All in all, a great spot and we will be back.

Had the pleasure of staying at the Boonville Hotel mid-week and dining at the restaurant. What a special place. Food was incredible. Rooms were cozy and quirky. Stayed in the dog-friendly studio. Perfect for pups! Can’t recommend enough.

Restaurant review only (did not stay at hotel) – VERY disappointed. Went for the 5 course set menu. I am vegetarian and asked in advance if they could accommodate (if not I would have chosen not to dine there), and they assured me they could and the chef would make something special. Unfortunately that was not the case. I was essentially served the same thing but without meat on it, so my main course was mashed potatoes with some mushrooms (usual dish had steak…. They just left it off, didn’t even think to add veggies, legumes, cauliflower steak…. Something!). Additionally, the service was extremely slow, and the bill was outrageous ($350 for 2 people). Now, I do not expect to pay less because I am vegetarian, that is my food choice. But I do expect you to put some thought and creativity into my meal for that price.
The staff were nice, that’s the one good thing I can say. But overall, sadly disappointed.

Didn’t stay at the hotel but stopped in for dinner with a group.

Food was fantastic. Even the most critical diners that we were with spoke highly of everything. The price is very reasonable and we all left full and happy. I could eat my body weight in the gnocchi that was served (everyone let out a collective “yum” at first bite). It may have been the best bite of food that I’ve had in years.

Outdoor space was beautiful but a little chilly on a breezy night. Blankets are available to help keep warm but patio heaters would be ideal.

Only suggestion to the restaurant would be to provide more bread for the table. The dishes, at least at our meal, really lent themselves to sopping up with bread at the end and we all longed for more than we had.

Service was great and friendly. You should absolutely visit here if you’re in the immediate area. And if you’re at all nearby, make the drive out for a great evening and meal.
