If you’re in the area and in a rush, come here less wait portion serving with side guac extra the beans were ok but honestly the meat was too dry, and I’m not sure if the tortillas were leftovers from the night before.

We came right at opening so it was a huge disappointment unfortunately for this spot social media hyped it up for me, the other well known taqueria a few blocks away is way better no need to add the name we all know the name.

I was in town and staying nearby and decided to make the walk to try these tacos out and very glad I did.

Tasted delicious. I got the grilled chicken and the beef brisket.

They take all payments and tap to pay.

About 15 tables, 2 seat and 6 etc.

They call your number from your receipt.

    Enjoy!

Well well, not sure if I should leave my review in spanish.

My wify and I came to a wedding for some friends in CA, close to San Diego, we’re from the other side of the coast, so, after the airport landing we stopped in other restaurant that recommend us this place.

Before even seeing this place, I can smell that nice Mexican vibe, asada, pastor and suadero, so even before deciding stop here, my heart went back to Mexico due that tasty smelling, we hang around the area, there are many shops close by and when we get more hungry I push the wify to stop there, lol.

When arrival, you can feel the real vibe of a Mexican Taquería, smell, sit yourself and the menu on the high part before ordering, they’re not much people to wait (due was monday night), and I decided to order some different things. Got 2 tacos with cabeza and lengua (some of my favs), a adobada/pastor quesadilla and a vampiro mixed.

I was really surprised of the size of everything but that doesn’t stop me to eat everything, lol. The tortillas are really really good, tacos were amazing, the pastor quesadilla one of the best and probably my fav here was the vampiro, that is a hard flat tortilla with cheese, meat on the top, fresh cebolla and cilantro and salsa and guac!

When first bite any of them, my mind went back to Mexico, real taquería, was sooo pleased that my wife even was joking about my sound in every bite, lol.

I was on the heaven for some minutes there, not joking. I love the taste of everything.

Lady on the front was extremely friendly and was able to make my order in my language!?

I truly recommend this place 100%, come, visit and judge yourself.

PS: they have cahuamas!! This is mexican side beer, lol. Have to chose and just eat but cahuamas remind me my teenager times, you can get a 32oz corona bottle or other options.

Muchas gracias por la experiencia, de verdad excepcional!

My husband and I came right after a Padres game and this place was packed! Despite this, we didn’t have to wait too long to order or get our food, as the staff was fast and efficient. Since this was our first time here, we tried to get a little of everything: carne asada taco, suadero taco, suadero quesadilla, lengua mulita, and adobada vampiro. We also got an ice cold michelada. Everything was delicious!

Growing up in San Diego, you have no shortage of options when it comes to Mexican food taco shops, taco stands, taco trucks, and restaurants on just about every corner. I’ve tried quite a few over the years, so I was excited to finally check out the Tijuana favorite, Taco El Franc, now that they’ve opened in downtown San Diego.

The restaurant itself is clean and welcoming, with a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. They don’t have a salsa bar or chips. They do serve beer, and offer the traditional taco selections along with vegetarian options.

I ordered the carne asada, adobada, and suadero tacos. The carne asada was good, but not quite at the level that would have me making a special trip back. The adobada was a little too sweet for my personal taste. The standout for me was the suadero (beef brisket) taco—it had excellent flavor and was easily my favorite of the three.

Overall, it’s a solid spot if you’re already in the area and looking for good tacos. While I enjoyed the experience, it’s not somewhere I’d personally go out of my way to visit. Still, it’s worth trying at least once to see what the hype is about.
