SCP Mendocino Inn and Farm delivers an exceptional five-star resort experience that is incredibly peaceful and relaxing.
The rooms are very pretty, clean, and spacious, offering nice forest views from the windows. Every morning they serve a breakfast that is genuinely fresh and filling. The farm property itself is beautiful, and interacting with the friendly alpacas and sweet chickens was a major highlight. The entire service team was exceptional throughout the stay, making sure everything was tidy and taken care of.
It is a fantastic place to unwind, and I would definitely come back in the future. It is a highly recommended spot for anyone traveling with kids.

Absolutely loved our stay here! The room was amazing, felt like a 4 star hotel room. Breakfast is delivered to your room every morning. Terra farm restaurant has good food. The farm animals are adorable and we saw some deers on the property too! Will definitely go back to stay longer.

We loved our stay at SCP Mendocino Inn farm. It was truly unique and one of a kind. We thoroughly enjoyed feeding the chickens and spending time with the llamas, they were so enthusiastic and friendly, which brought us so much joy.
We also loved the thoughtful touch at the reception. Besides the chicken feed, there was a jar filled with lavender where we could make our own small pouch as a fragrant memento from this beautiful place.
Every morning, we looked forward to the freshly made breakfasts. The new menu each day felt like an exciting Easter egg hunt, and we are so grateful to the kitchen staff for all their hard work and creativity.
This stay was exactly what we needed, a beautiful mix of a serene getaway while still remaining connected with technology when we wanted to. The location is very accessible to trails and so many other points, making everything convenient. It was also a very peaceful and refreshing stay, and we especially appreciated the two electric chargers on site, which were very helpful for us. We also had our designated parking spot personalized with our name tag. Everything was well organized.
Most of all, everyone around is warm and welcoming, and any concern is quickly addressed by the team. Thank you to everyone for making our time at the farm so special and memorable.

First of all, the staff are nice and friendly.
However, there two things I wish I could have known before the stay there,
1. You barely get any ocean view as described. I stayed in the so-called ocean view suite. There’s nothing close to the ocean view photos on their hotel website – I do think the room photos there are misleading and not matching what you get or pay. The earlier review from Zoey is pretty accurate and their photo matches the actual view.
2. It’s far from a resort style hotel for vacation stays, but more close to a motel / inn stay where you pass by, stay for the night and go. Facilities are old and walls are thin – you hear people walking, talking from the other rooms and the kitchen in the morning. No water boiler or coffee machines in the room. No food as restaurant is closed. Nothing much you can do around there – we fed the chickens for three times (the chickens are cute).
It doesn’t worth 400 to 600 dollars a night at all. Nothing much you can do in the whole area.
The ocean is okay as you see similar coastlines along the highway 1 almost anywhere, plus the day is foggy most of the time.

This stay was absolutely perfect! The location was great and had easy walkable access to coastal trails and to Van Damme state park. The check in process was very simple and had clear instructions on finding our room amongst all the cottages. The breakfast was amazing every single morning, and they were accommodating of my partner’s egg allergy and provided delicious alternatives. What truly made the experience so much more memorable and personal was the staff we met throughout: Monse, Antonia, Luis and Jack were an absolute joy and truly took the time to make our trip extra special by giving us local recommendations, telling us about the history of SCP Mendocino Inn and Farm, and taking us to interact with the llamas. We cannot wait to come back and hope to see them (and all the chickens) again! Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
