First come first serve, opens in April. Within minutes of Jenner Headlands (hiking, dog friendly), and Stillwater Cove Regional Park (hiking, beach, dog friendly.) Also within minutes of Fort Ross State Historic Park, and Salt Point State Park. Tons of beaches, hiking, fishing, and tide pools. Lots of other campgrounds in the area, but this one is nice, too. Some really, really incredible views. Fewer amenities than other campgrounds in the area, but still nice. Can’t beat the location.

The State of California is really F-ing up. They closed this campground. It was a great campground. They also closed the Manchester Beach campground. Two of the best campgrounds on the Northern CA coast. This campground was great. It was small and not set-up for RV’s so it kept some of the riffraff out. Manchester State Beach campground was great because the campsites were spread out, and you could hear the ocean from the sites, so you did not hear and rarely saw other campers, plus is was a relatively short hike to 7 miles of beach at Manchester SP.
